Actually, I'm in the Canvas
Guess what? We've entered a partnership agreement with The Canvas, powered by Querencia Studio, with the opening of a permanent corner at 132 Bedford Avenue, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, after we hosted a pop-up shop in The Canvas that took place from June 4th through June 23, 2019, with the support of Google.
We are really proud to be the first independent fashion brand emerging from Cuba giving the American customers the opportunity to purchase our goods, designed and manufactured in the Caribbean Island, from scratch.
As President Devin Gilmartin and CEO Tegan Maxey put it: “The Canvas by Querencia is thrilled to continue our collaboration with Clandestina, Cuba's first independent fashion brand. Clandestina's values, style and energy are a perfect match for The Canvas atmosphere. The brand's view that sustainability is a necessity, rather than a trend, is one that aligns our visions of fashion and makes this partnership, combining innovation in design and retail experiences, one we will look to expand beyond our respective countries. We are honored that Clandestina has chosen to do so with The Canvas and look forward to building on this effort together, wherever it may take us.”
From now on the New Yorkers can join our community and buy their own piece of contemporary Cuba in the United States.
