It is a series of 12 works developed over eight years (2018–2026), arranged chronologically to suggest the calendar of a year that hasn’t happened yet: 2027.
These images anticipate a near future. They read like fragments of memory in advance—traces of a society on the verge of profound transformation. From new public expressions of civil rights to moments of tension and control, from intensified migration to the erosion of familiar structures, they point toward a country becoming something most Cubans have not yet fully seen.
And still, it continues to provoke, to keep us alert, to take our breath away.
The future of Cuba is uncertain—but it is already approaching, and we are about to live it.
The collection will be launched in fall this year. The works will be available in galleries in Cuba and the USA, and also through this channel.
